Tabs on Tuesday

I am still keeping up with the
The Documented Life Project~
I can't believe the year is nearly over!
Above, the challenge was to add Tabs
to the page. I used some scrapbook
papers and a Loteria  card to make flaps
with tabs.

Click on the image for a better view...
I did a bit of collage on the underside of the flaps,
and added my own handwriting on
the watercolor paper beneath the flaps.

The spread beneath the tip in shown above...
additional collage with scrapbook paper,
another loteria card, and things I've drawn.
You can see the adhesive number showing
that this was for week 45.

The orange, tan and yellow collage was for the
challenge to include fabric on your page.
Stitching, counted cross stitch, and papers
are accented with chalk pastels.

Linking up to Elizabeth's blog for T Tuesday,
with a re-post of a tea collage, and
the snow man mug...

We had our first accumulation of snow
this week, and it's bitter cold!  Well, at least
to me it is...maybe folks in Alaska or
Minnesota would scoff at 10 degrees...
but my car won't start.  We are thinking
a new battery is in order.

Hope you enjoy your tea or coffee today,
and stop by Elizabeth's blog.

  1. I'm impressed with your ability to keep up with this challenge. I like your snowman mug drawing a lot too.

  2. I feel like a snowman here, even without the snow. We're at 26F, and I'm shivering. You've got my sympathy, eben if the people in Alaska don't understand ;)

  3. Well done you keeping up for the entire year... I am afraid I would have fallen to the wayside long ago so I am uper impressed! Love the tabs and bits hidden, that is my type of page, I like everything to work hard to give me extra real estate on the page too. Happy t on tuesday to you!

  4. LOVE the collages. Good for you for sticking with the long term project...they often take the wind out of my sails after a while.
10°F is chilly but bearable without wind. And yes I'm sure a battery would do the trick...says the auto technicians wife. ;)
    Happy T Day!!

  5. Beautiful pages again! You really have such a keen eye for composition and colors. The fabric piece is equally lovely. Stay warm and happy T day!

  6. Hello and Happy T Day Dianne! Brrr it's cold here too, nice to stay inside and craft but wishing the kids had school so I could.
Can't believe it came early again this year, the weekend looks better so I'm hoping it lasts awhile.
Too bad about your car, hope it's fixed soon.
Your pages in DLP are looking awesome, that stitched page is my favorite. But of course love them all.
How sweet is that snowman cup, perfect for today.
Stay warm and safe friend, thanks for sharing.

  7. Those tabs are fantastic. Even I can open those tabs, if they are like the beautiful book you sent me.

I really enjoyed the tea page. And of curse, I loved the counted cross stitch. You put SO much into your pages, they are truly impressive. Isn't it good to see the end in sight? I realize that means the year and the project will soon be over, but it also means you can breathe a sigh of relief at a job very well done.

Thanks for sharing these pages and your gorgeous mug with us for T this Tuesday. BTW, we bottomed out at 6F this morning. And the wind chill put us below 0F. So, I feel your pain (and cold).

  8. As always, beautiful works, but I dearly love your drawing of the snowman mug.......so cute.
    Happy T-day

  9. Gosh, your pages are always a feast for the eyes. You put so much detail and layers, it is just incredible!

We are in the 30s here in upstate NY but no real snow in site.

I like your tea collage idea so much I am going to do something similar on the inside cover of my altered tea book.

  10. I just love the colors in your work. They make me smile. And that makes for a great day. Happy T Day!!! Hugs! deb

  11. Wow! Congrats on keeping up all year long! That's something I don't think I'd ever even attempt. Love the snowman mug. Quite appropriate with this weather. Happy T-Day! :)

  12. sweet mug and love how you added the fabric to your pages
    thanks for visiting

  13. This Minnesotan agrees with you...it is cold! Hope your car is working now.

Great job with all the art in your post. That snowman mug seems very appropriate.

    Happy Belated T Day!

  14. I am impressed with your persistence, too, but such lovely results. Of course I love your stitched page best!

I really appreciate your comments. Leave me a note and Thanks for visiting!
