Hobonichi Techo Drawings

Some days I don't know what

to draw in my Hobonichi Techo...

and then I might glue in some of

my own drawings. Sun and cloud

drawn on card stock in pen, and

then watercolored.

Seeing the sun in the morning

starts the day off well, but my

coffee helps too!

Hobonichi challenge prompts 

for the 14th and 15th were "cupid"

and "something that starts with 'O'."

Collage with TV

Do you cut, glue and draw

while watching TV?  I was watching

"Call the Midwife" on Netflix, and

heard the phrase 'Calypso baby.'

It tickled my fancy...so it went

into this collage.

I think this is one of my

"use up the rest of that black paint

on the palette" paintings...done in

a Smash Book by K and Co. 

The Smash books have been marked

down and discontinued. Maybe because

they were a bit pricey? Or because 

people were making their own

'Junk Journals'?  But I have several

left in my stash!

Hobonichi Techo pages revised:

I showed the page on the left 

last week. I've added red cherry

candies to the last glass container.

Pretty, but oh, the sugar high!

"You can't buy happiness...but 

you can buy cupcakes, and that's

kind of the same thing."

It's a fun quote, and makes me smile,

but food is NOT love, so don't you

believe it. Drawing a cupcake makes

me happier than eating one!

Proof that I don't always keep up 

from day to day with my Techo. I

will have to catch up tonight or tomorrow...

The Lego Batman movie was cute.

I think I need to view it again to catch

all of the Batman and villain references.

A little short on plot, but awesome in

special effects and animation. I just

love the lego characters!

my 'healthy eating' resolution!

Groundhog Day...quite an ugly

creature!

Getting a lot of mileage and 

sketches out of the progress of

the amaryllis. A bit sad to see the 

blooms begin to fade, and wondering 

if I'll be able to keep the plant 

upright when the second stalk blooms!

Am I supposed to trim the dead 

blooms off?
