ART BENEATH THE COTTONWOODS ~ Hobonichi Techo Drawings, Journal Pages & Mixed Media
I thought about you at the fabric store and how disciplined you are in your sewing. I so admire that because it is something I just can't do. It would take all the fun out of art for me.One thing I know I can't do is put pen to paper the way you do. I also can't seem to make my borders look as good as yours. Your combination of paint, paper, and fabric work so well together and you know how to use that to your advantage.
E--you are too kind! one trick I use is to repeat whatever design is in the fabric, or a portion of it, with my pen drawing. It seems to pull everything together. Repetition is a tool that I use often. and sometimes shopping in a great store is a good inspiration...as long as I don't spend too much!
Your art is sooo varried and beautiful! I will be back! Sooo much wonderfulness to look at! Thank you!
Love your blog Dianne...it always inspires me to get into my journal. The shoe sketches are so fun.
I really appreciate your comments. Leave me a note and Thanks for visiting!
