Here's a shameless plug inviting
you to stop by my other
to see the pages of my Fake Journal
so far this month...
The Fake Journal is when I pretend
to be someone else, or try to put
myself in their shoes. The premise
is that if it's 'fake,' it tends to remove
some of the preconceived notions and
value judgments of what your journal
'should be'. It's an opportunity to look at
things from a new perspective.
Hopefully, it quiets that mental critical
voice that tells us "that's not good enough."
Because after all,
it's Fake!
My Hobonichi journaling suffers a bit
when I'm working on my Fake Journal.
The drawings for the April project
seem to take up my drawing energy,
so the Hobonichi has a few more
stickers and quotes mixed in with
a very few sketches.
I hope you will stop by
Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog
over at Altered Book Lover, not
only for T Tuesday, but also to see
the annual celebration leading up
to Earth Day. There are lots of
experiments and tutorials to see,
and beverages to enjoy
on Tuesdays.
"I drink coffee
for your
protection."
I think the "fake" journal concept is a fascinating project. I got a kick out of your "I drink coffee for your protection" quote lol and your quote from Midsomer Murders is not one I remember but it's a series we enjoy :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteLove your plant therapy sketch Dianne. You make such wonderful planner pages sprinkled with bits of art too. And the age quote and coffee one both gave me smiles:) Happy T day!

I love all your journal entries that you share, be it fake or real. They are always amazingly detailed. And that Plant therapy sketch could be me. I love calling it something that justifies my addiction to houseplants.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,

I'm really late this week and I apologize because I have been unable to stop by your fake person blog, either. Life and Lovey gets in the way. In fact, I need to go now to give her a treatment, but will be over at your other blog after I get back.
ReplyDeleteI laughed at baptizing the cat. HOW cute and clever. I love it.You still have more drawings in yours and my puny calendar is filled with stickers.
Thanks for sharing your coffee with us for T this Tuesday. Be back in hopefully an hour or so.
Love the plant theerapy drawing! I had never heard of a fake journal before. Always learning things at the T Party every week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you read about it on your other blog, but I will repeat it here.
ReplyDeleteFor reasons I won't go into, I have been locked out of blogger. This is a devastating problem for me, especially since I am in the middle of my recycle campaign. However, I have set up a HOPEFULLY temporary blog to get me through until I can reclaim mine. Please tell everyone you know, and please visit me starting tomorrow (April 20) at:
https://alteredbooksandmixedmedia.blogspot.com/
Even if you don't normally visit me daily, I could use the support right now. Thank you and Happy Easter.
Love the pages here! You seem to have been busy- I know that feeling! I must visit your other blog before I get too far behind! Belated Happy T day, Chrisx
