A month of Harry Potter continues...it has
been 20 years since the first book was published!
Above, Tom Riddle and Draco Malfoy,
two villains we 'love to hate.'
The Dursleys, and a Dementor...
It seems like I've been writing about fascias,
soffits, and downspouts all summer as we
tried to make the necessary replacements
ourselves. And then it happened.
Hubby fell off the ladder. He's ok, just
really sore. (CT scan at hospital to make
sure!) Hind sight is 20/20...we should have
hired someone to do it!
Harry Potter's 'muggle' family,
the Dursleys.
In case you were wondering, there
were nine coffee cups in my post
last week. Not nearly so many this week.
Linking up for T Tuesday over at
Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog.
Hippogriff: a mythical creature with the body of a horse; wings, head and front claws of a raptor. |
I hope your week has been
uneventful, or at least events
were pleasant!
I'm glad your hubby is ok! I remember the day my hubby's ladder slid out from under him. That was the last day for doing that kind of work ourselves. Late learning.
ReplyDeleteIt's about time for me to re-read the Harry Potter books. I read them as they were released but not since.
Happy T Tuesday!
i love all your sketches, but the hippogriff is my absolute favorite! reminds me of a harpy eagle.

ReplyDeleteI know nothing about Harry Potter but am thoroughly enjoying your many wonderful illustrations-well done! happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI was happy to read your husband is now OK. I know it must have scared both of you when it happened.
ReplyDeleteI got the number of cups right last week. I am still in the dark about the Harry Potter stuff. Never saw any or read any books, so this is going to be a month of beautiful art I won't be able to relate to. I DID enjoy reading about your life and how your granddaughter walked 10 miles in a day. Thanks for sharing your coffee cups and your Harry Potter art with us for T this Tuesday, dear. BTW, where do you get Dr. Who?
So happy things are better now Dianne!!
ReplyDeleteI love all your illustrations ! They are wonderful, gorgeous, and very inspiring!! every detail is important and you draw it perfectly, i´m delighted with them! Congratulations!
Thank you very much for your visit to my blog and your so kind comments.
I wish you a very nice week, big hugs, Caty
SO sorry about your hubby. That must have been really scary. Glad nothing serious happened. My hubby had a very heavy metal ladder fall on his head last year and it was very scary. I thought he had a concussion. The nurse in me doesn't like ladders of any kind.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your continuation of Harry Potter month. Some more amazing drawings. I love your drawings of the Dursley's. You captured their attitudes perfectly.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
I was pleased to read that your hubby was okay after the fall, hindsight as you say is a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeleteI loved your journal pages and of course your fantastic illustrations.
