Hobonichi Star Wars Part 2

Must.have.coffee.first.

Star Wars robots had a lot of
'personality' in the original movie...

I'm anticipating the new Han Solo movie,
along with many Star Wars fans...
coming out soon!

...and, how about a slug-like Crime Lord
 for a classic villain?

I am guessing some poor elephant got
stuck wearing this Bantha costume, but it
could have been a giant puppet too.
Anybody know the answer? Still,
pretty cool... would make an
amazing pet.

The Star Wars theme got upstaged for
the granddaughter's Dance Recital.
She did a great job on all of her
routines, and I love seeing all the
costumes of the participants!

I'm joining up with T Tuesday blog hop,
better late than never, over at
Altered Book Lover's blog.  Join us!

  5. Hi Dianne!!

Love all your sketching!! I think the Han Solo movie is a day late and a dollar short... Why do a Solo movie now when he just died in the movie?? They should have done it years ago. Not caring for the guy playing Solo either. Ah well.. If you you'll have to let me know.. Happy T day! Hugs! deb

  7. Awesome Star Wars pages, I still prefer the first films in the Star Wars series there were some super lasting quotes.
I quite agree with your first page except it would be tea for me not coffee.
    Happy T day wishes.

  9. So many wonderful illustrations today. Again, I love the Star Wars theme. My favorite is C3P0. He always makes me laugh in the movies. You are right, they have a lot of character in the original movies.
Thank you for sharing you art. It is always beautiful.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  10. Ah, now I don't feel so bad about being late visiting today. I was out working in my yard and time got away from me.

To begin, in answer to your question, yes, that is Theresa Pillow. I'm sure you and she were in several swaps together on ABC. She asked about Kathy who she had met the first time she stayed with me, and Halle, who also connected with her on FB.

Second, your drawings are out of this world. I couldn't quite get into the last three and this new one doesn't look all that interesting to me, either. What can I say? I liked all the guys and gal when they were young. I also still love R2D2.

LOVE your coffee mugs. First coffee is my motto, too. Thanks for sharing these latest Star Wars characters and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

  11. Beautiful pages and drawings (as usual!). I love the Star Wars themes. One of my favorite things about the movies is the personality they give to the robots. I'm still loving the Han drawing-he's so cute! Not that I knew this without google but the original bantha was one specific elephant the first time it appeared-after that they used CGI. Glad you had a nice time visiting family this past weekend!

  12. Love all your Star Wars character drawings, Dianne. They're fabulous. The Han Solo one is really cool. We just watched "The Last Jedi. We enjoyed it but, it seems impossible to improve on the original.

Dance recitals were the high point of my childhood. I bet your granddaughter was delighted you went all that way to see her perform.

    Happy T-day! Hugs, Eileen
