Fill the Pages

The Documented Life Project 2015:
"Life is a book, we fill the pages."
Squares of painted paper cut into
1 3/4" squares and glued to
black card stock. I had plenty of
scraps to choose from!
Most are watercolor and Sharpie
pen, but some are acrylic paint.
(please pardon the shadows...the paper is really cream colored.
I was having some difficulty getting the page on the scanner properly)

The theme for the week was supposed
to be all about the words...so I did write
some words on a few squares. But for
some reason the painted papers were
what really made me happy, so that's
my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Linking up with the T Tuesday
gang over at Bleubeard & Elizabeth's.
Sharing my drawing of a wonky tea cup and
having my mocha coffee. (Yes, it's ok
to have a beverage other than tea)
Join us for a beverage of your choice,
a pastry, or maybe even some
creativity!

  2. I have been making collages for Art Journal Journey, where Valerie insists on words. Like you, I prefer the idea of allowing the collage or the background to show through instead. Your pages are stunning, as usual. I love them. And I want to publicly say I simply adore my Christmas tip-in and gift, which I plan to show on Wednesday, since the photos are still on my camera.

Thanks for sharing your tea cup, your coffee, and your gorgeous art with us for T this Tuesday.

  3. I should have read your comment to me before I read your post. Yes, it's cold here now. What had been highs in the 70s F, have now turned to 30s F. The good news for me is, it's supposed to warm to the high 50s over the weekend. That means your weather should be similar in a few days. So get out that extra blanket, because it's going to cool down in your neck of the cottonwoods.

  8. The pattern squares would make an interesting project, as you think about why each pattern speaks to you. Fascinating. I like mocha, too, but haven't had any in a long time. You inspire me to get out of my coffee rut ;)

We are having really lovely weather here. I'm sitting on the terrace baking in the sun and have had to come in as I can't see the screen very well!(Indoors it is cold mind! Tonight we will light the fire).
    Thank you for commenting already,
Happy T-day and have a good week,

  10. How interesting those scraps look positioned together on the black background. Good use of those scraps. You can make art out of anything it seems.
