I decided I needed some new painted papers
for collage. I did some shapes, patterns
and doodles in watercolors.
When the watercolors had dried,
I added some stamping, outlining,
doodling and drawing. These will
probably be cut or torn into pieces
and used in collages.
Sometimes it's hard to make the first
tear or cut, but after that it's ok. I do
like it as it is, but it is destined to be
torn to bits as the need arises. Usually
I tear off each piece as I need it so
I can gauge what will make a nice contrast.
Have a colorful day!
I am totally impressed with your collage fodder. I plan to try your style as soon as I finish a few projects I'm working on. It would be hard for me to cut or tear YOUR pages, that's for sure. I can see them being backgrounds for journaling. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read the word "rip" I got chills - I could NEVER cut those up. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool! What an inspiring idea!
ReplyDeletegorgeous papers dear Dianne...the colors and patterns are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI can see where the first rip would be the hardest
kind of like cutting into really precious fabric...once you get rolling... well you know :)
I love that line...sometimes its hard to make the first tear. I was like that with photos when I was doing scrapbooks for the kids. I got used to tearing the photos. I love the look of horror on someone's face when they see me tear a perfectly good photo. :)
ReplyDeletemy favorite part is the swirls...they feel so free!
