Techo Tuesday

A new year, a new Hobonichi Techo...
interesting to see that the 2017 journal
has doubled in thickness from the
drawing, painting, collage, and other
remnants of life that have been
adhered to the pages!

Looking towards enjoying new
adventures in 2018...

Have you ever drawn your breakfast?
Note the little coffee cup, egg and toast
on the left page.  (I need a hot cup of
coffee or tea to wake up in the mornings!)
Said doodle 'qualifies' me to link
up to the T Tuesday blog hop,
from which I've been absent too long.
Stop by for a beverage and a chat!

I'd much rather draw and paint in
my journal than do housework...
how about you?

  1. Housework will always be there, but inspiration and creativity may come and go, so I say YES to art! You know how much I admire all the drawings and the details you add to your wonderful pages and I really love your view from the window scene. You make every page a delight to see. Happy New Year and happy T day!

  3. Housework can always be left for another day in my home if there is other more interesting things to do.

  4. Beautiful pages! I love your "more of" list and the quotes that you captured in your journal, they are so inspirational - perfect 😁. The fireworks, breakfast, winter boots and view from your window drawings are wonderful too! There is no contest I would much prefer art journalling to housework ...lol 😉. Wishing you a very happy and creative 2018 and may all your New Year wishes come true! Happy T Day! J 😊

  5. I agree with Linda. Housework will alwys be there. Draw aned paint. It is good for the soul.
I love reading your pages and seeing the beautiful drawings you do.
Rooting for Matt. I don't know him of course but I know that living with Crohns is no walk in the park. I hope he's feeling better now.
Wishing you and your family a very happy (and healthy) 2018,
    Happy T-Day,

  6. I would certainly rather draw and paint than housework any day! I started a new Hobonichi journal myself- but this year I am doing 2 6 month versions since last years just exploded on me it got so wide. Loving your pages! Art is such a great adventure, isn't it?

  7. Now it's my turn to be late. I apologize for taking so long to visit. I’ve had internet woes and just got back online. I may not want to do housework, but I definitely won't be doing any drawing or painting any time soon.

I LOVE the Year of the (brown earth) Dog for CNY. Do you remember the various CNY tip-in swaps we participated in for years?

I was blown away by how much bigger last year's journal is and how the new pristine one looks.

I really like your more list. It seems really appropriate, too. And all the colors of the words make them seem to come to life on the page.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful look at your new year, your new Techo journal, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday.

BTW, it's been too cold to work in my craft room, so your Christmas gift is STILL not off the drawing board.

  8. Journaling always wins! Your pages are amazing as always.
I can't say I have ever drawn my breakfast. I used to love to paint and practice my sketching but once kids came along that went out the window. Your art inspires me to want to do so again.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  15. What a great start on your 2018 Hobonichi Techo! I love the puffin - he's adorable :D You do such amazing detail - like on the new boot. I love that. I have to go searching your blog to recall what medium you use for watercoloring. I tried Tombow markers and would like a lighter look like yours. Maybe try Tombows on craft mat with water pen. Hmmm ...

No, I haven't doodled my breakfast yet and I too would rather draw and paint in my journal than do housework!

    Happy T-day, Dianne! Hugs, Eileen
