Illustrations in my Hobonichi Techo
are mostly about my day...including
the fact that I gotta have that
morning coffee to feel human!

Quote stolen (like an artist) from Pinterest! |
Lots of images today, so I won't add
much commentary...
I love finding vintage stuff at
any thrift store!
Sorry for the wonky scan...
you can click on the image to
enlarge. I had several days running
of madly working on favors for a
women's retreat, just to get them
done in time.
Even a bit of painted fabric
can go into my Hobonichi. I think this
one will be even chunkier than
last year's!
When I don't have much to write,
the doodles can get elaborate!
The apple blossoms were
so beautiful!
I learned to run a chain saw. I suspect
the electric one we bought is easier
to manage than one powered by
gasoline. And it can be safely stored
in our basement. I was pretty sore
the next day, and still more to do.
Little steps...
I've also been creating a Fake Journal
this month. Stop by
to see who my character is.
What about you, what are you up to?
Wonderful pages, and love the quotes you have used. Have a great week. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteWonderful journal pages as always. Love that green polka dot washi tape!!
ReplyDeleteHappy T day!
Your pages today are incredible. I LOVE that you doodle if words fail you. I really enjoy reading about your life, too.
ReplyDeleteI almost bought an Easter lily, but Sally told me they were poisonous for cats. I didn't want little Squiggles, who gets into everything to knock it over and try to munch on it.
I'd LOVE to get some hens and chicks. Mine all died one very cold year. I like that you used a chain saw. I also have trouble getting the chain back on when it slips.
Of course, I think my favorite is I drink coffee for your protection.
Thanks for sharing your hobonichi techo journal pages with us for T this Tuesday.
Several of your quotes strike me where I live lol I usually am gifted an Easter lily but got a hydrangea this year instead. I hope it lives. My hen and chicks died.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Tuesday
Great pages and lots of wonderful words
ReplyDeleteHappy TDay
Love Chrissie xx
Such beautiful pages full of memories and your drawing and doodles are fabulous as always! It looks like you had a wonderful Easter celebration with your family too :-) . I loved seeing the drawings of your Easter lily, it was so kind of Steph. I enjoyed reading about the chain saw and your apple blossom looks so pretty! Wishing you a Happy T Day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteI love reading your pages. I enlarge them and spend time looking at the details, the drawings, reading the quotes and being nosey about what you are up to. Well done you for learning to use a chain saw. I can hardly lift ours and my hubby wouldn't let me use it even if I wanted to.
ReplyDeleteI'm also impressed with your steps! I struggle to get my 10000 a day, and I still walk everywhere. Well, our village is not so big I suppose.
The apple blossom drawing (you call it a doodle?) is beautiful.
I can see you have had a wonderful Easter celebration, and it is so kind of you to make all those chick pins for the retreat. I'm sure the ladies will appreciate them.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Fantastic pages and so much to see, your drawings are always delightful,
ReplyDeleteHappy T day.

Love these pages! The colors, the drawings, the tapes - everything !! I stole the quote about mistakes for my journal!
ReplyDeleteHi, it's me again. I just read your kind comment on my blog page. And I smiled. If you have worked in a restaurant you would balk at 85 people turning up. I was also pleasantly surprised it all went so smoothly. This is Spain, and they are not known for their organisation skills. Both places were booked well in advance. They had all the seating ready early on (I saw it as I walked past in the morning). The meal was paella (a rice dish that is made in advance) and BBQd meat. The salads were made in advance too. Drinks were served in jars, which is easier, and orders were taken for those who didn't fancy what was in the jars. Dirty plates were taken away by someone with a trolley so there wasn't much running around. I was well impressed myself. It is a restaurant round the corner from my house so we know the owner and most of the staff. They did us proud!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

I'm about ready to go off and play in my Hobonichi for a bit. :) Love seeing yours. You seem to get just the right amount on your pages-not too much or too little which seems to be an issue for me right now. :) Happy belated T day. Hugs-Erika
