Hobonichi Star Wars Part 2

Must.have.coffee.first.

Star Wars robots had a lot of
'personality' in the original movie...

I'm anticipating the new Han Solo movie,
along with many Star Wars fans...
coming out soon!

...and, how about a slug-like Crime Lord
 for a classic villain?

I am guessing some poor elephant got
stuck wearing this Bantha costume, but it
could have been a giant puppet too.
Anybody know the answer? Still,
pretty cool... would make an
amazing pet.

The Star Wars theme got upstaged for
the granddaughter's Dance Recital.
She did a great job on all of her
routines, and I love seeing all the
costumes of the participants!

I'm joining up with T Tuesday blog hop,
better late than never, over at
Altered Book Lover's blog.  Join us!

Techo Candy

Conversation hearts in my Hobonichi
Techo...they are so cute, but not my
favorite candy to eat, y'know?

A bit of verse from Emily Dickenson
on the left.  And who could resist a
rubber stamp with a sheep on it!!?

A weird shopping experience in
Hobby Lobby the other day...
just had to write about it. (click on
any picture to enlarge)

Did you decorate for
Valentine's Day?  I am finding
that the candy, though pretty,
is not going to be good for
my 'healthy eating' resolution!
I do love chocolate...♥

Techo Tuesday

Drawings in my Hobonichi Techo:
an illustrated record of
the happenings around here.
Even though I am not on
Instagram (at least not yet) I enjoy
doing the Hobonichi Challenge that
they have each month. (on the left)
I may need to find something to add
to that blank space...

Still enjoying the amaryllis...

Our silly unofficial US holiday,
Groundhog Day...quite an ugly
creature!

Linking up for T Tuesday over
at Altered Book Lover's blog...
did you spot the coffee cup?  I
really do drink tea sometimes too...

Getting a lot of mileage and
sketches out of the progress of
the amaryllis. A bit sad to see the
blooms begin to fade, and wondering
if I'll be able to keep the plant
upright when the second stalk blooms!
Am I supposed to trim the dead
blooms off?

Thanks for stopping by!
Do try visiting the rest of
the Tea gang for T Tuesday...
hope you have some
color, creativity, and
sunshine this week!

Hobonichi Techo Pages

Drawing daily in my Hobonichi Techo

with Sharpie pen or Smash pen

and adding watercolor with my
Prismacolor watercolor pencils and
water brush.

Someone once asked if I journal the" bad things"
too. Well, yes - sometimes. I am conscious of
whether or not I will be posting it online. You
don't need TOO much information...
And I'd rather focus on the positive.

These pages aren't completely in order by date...
the computer saved them alphabetically by
the title I gave them!

Happy Halloween to those who
enjoy celebrating it ...and Happy Autumn!

Treacle Tart Recipe

When reading the Harry Potter stories,
I wondered what exactly Treacle Tart is.
Having looked for recipes on-line, it seems
to resemble our American pecan pie ~
without the pecans.  I've never made it,
but it's on my 'bucket list.'  I understand
you can substitute Karo syrup for the
Golden's syrup, and there also seems
to be a debate about whether or not
a bit of molasses might be included.
In the U.S., some stores may carry the
Golden's syrup in the pancake syrup aisle.

An illustrated recipe page seemed like
fun, especially for Elizabeth's
T Tuesday link party...

I prefer a smiling Mr. Potter over
the darker, more troubled expressions...

and I think that baking up a recipe is
a lot like mixing up a magic potion!

Winter Illustrations

Above, an illustration
of the Snowball Champ
also known as my grandson~
a few days ago, enjoying the snow!
He had an awesome 'Mohawk' hat
with a Batman logo on the side.
He got a great deal of enjoyment throwing snowballs
at me...until he got me in the ear. Then I called a halt...
We laughed and giggled like crazy.

Above, an illustration of the
Snow Princess, inspired by my granddaughter.
Her sweater boot tops sported
red sequin polka dots!
Not an exact replica of her outfit,
but it was the great color combo of
red and light blue.

Above, a color copy of a watercolor that I did
quite a while back. Came across the copy while doing
some sorting of piles of papers, and glued it into
my Smash book.  A good way to use random stuff
that is 'too good to throw away.'

Not a lot of art happening over the holidays...
just enjoyed family, and did lots of cooking and
enjoying treats! So good to have my children and
grandchildren here for Christmas Day!
I hope your holiday was joyous too.
